It's infected, have you been moving or sweating in that area a lot? Wash it with soap and water in the morning and night, then put neosporin on it to lubricate it.

More then likely it's infected, but there can be a number of reasons why it's still sore. I would suggest if you had it done at a shop go back to your piercer. Any good shop will see you free of charge and reccomend the best way to help your piercing.

It's also possible that your body is having a bad reaction to the piercing itself. If you have other jewelry that has healed fine (aside from ears) then this might not be the case. But it's not uncommon for a body to reject certain jewelry.

Over all I would say the best person to help you with this is the person that pierced you in the first place. If by chance it was a friend that pierced you... I would say lesson learned and see a doctor.

The Belly Button is a sensitive part of the body and after being pierced it will be red and sore for a while.
Wait another week and if it hasn't changed, either put some methylated spirits on it or see a doctor.

It might be infected. When I had mine done it was just really sore for about a week. Then I felt fine. I have had mine done for a long time and it never hurts to put jewelry in or take it out. It also doesn't hurt when I lay on my stomach.

Infected. See a doctor. You could have something really wrong if you didn't use a sterile needle.

I believe its infected. Been there done that, my suggestion would be to use "BACTIN". It helps the infection.
