O.K. I got htis part right... But I can't get it when I do the substitutes.... it confuses me... Can someone explain haw you go about it.

v=3k+5d solve for d
This is what I have

3K=5d=v
3k+5d-3k=v-3k
5d=v-3k
5d/5=v-3k/5
d= v-3k/5

Then I have to substitute.... Now i panic!!

Calculate the value of v when D = 20m , a = 9.8 m/s2, t = 20s

v=3k+5d
5d= v-3k
d= (v-3k)/5

x=1/2at^2+vt
20=1/2(-9.8)(20)^2+v(20)
1980=v(20)
v=99m/s

You are fine at d = (v - 3k)/5. Set d = 20m => 20m = (v - 3k)/5. Isolate "v": 20m * 5 = v - 3k => v - 3k = 100m => v = 3k + 100m. This is as far as you can go. It's nice to have a = 9.8 m/s^2 and t = 20 s. "a" is basic acceleration of a falling body in the air. "t" is just time, 20 sec. The problem is there's no place for them in the equation, unless you missed something typing it into the computer from your source. This appears to be the makings of a physics problem, but I can't tell you much more than that. Sorry.

You have d wrong.

v = 3k + 5d
v - 3k = 5d
(v - 3k) / 5 =d

Ok, now you can plug-n-chug.

But the a and t values are confusing me since they are not in the equation.

Whoa!!

V = 3K + 5D
V - 3K = 5D
5D = V - 3K
D = (V - 3K)/5

That's solving for D. I have no idea where a and t come in.

You forgot to divide v by 5 also

whoa the equation is tricky why don't you try to consult it with your teacher, they would be the better one to help you out lol
ive try the equation but it's confusing because a and t is not in the equation ok lol

Recall that v = at. That means

v = (9.8) (20) = 19.6
