I can get any brand of phones, either Cingular, or T-Mobile.

I would go with Cingular for coverage reasons alone.
As for a model phone, what about the KRZR? It's a camera phone, has a 2MP camera in fact! Comes in 3 colours. Here's a spec sheet:

If you can stick it out until June, Cingular will be releasing the Apple iPhone then and you will only be able to get it through Cingular.

The KRZR isn't a Razr ;-) I personally prefer Nokia phones for best receptions but then again I don't really care so much for the other features like a camera and mp3 player. I value my battery life too much ;-)

Alright so you hate the KRZR. And the RAZR. And blackberry. And the Sidekick, which is T-Mobile only anyway. Are you sure you don't already have a phone in mind? Maybe a Samsung D807 slider?

The LG Chocolate phone is a Verizon exclusive.

Cingular is my recommendation. I currently have Nextel and I can't wait until the contract is up so I can switch to Cingular. When I switch, I plan to get the Samsung D407 (camera/video/everything else) OR this other phone by Samsung, I forget what it's called but it's thin, black, and is basically like the chocolate. I don't like Razr's, but to each his own.

The razors are really cool but they are hard to tex with in school if you do that because they are longer. I would choose the new chocolate. Oh and before you choose cingular the thing with them is that when you get the bill (this is if your parents are getting it or wutever) but it has on the bill every phone call you get and every time you call someone and everytime you get a send a text. So i wouldnt get cingualr if you talk on the phone and send texts when your not suposed to.

I don't know if the Chocolate is available under either plan, but I'd definitely go with it. I've got the original Chocolate, and it's really great. It's an MP3 player, you can spend some extra $$$ and get the GPS system, you can watch TV on it, you can take pictures, text, you name it. I'm pretty sure it's BlueTooth enabled, because mine came with a BlueTooth headset. Plus, it comes in four cool colors (although I think that the black one is the most classy). Be prepared, it costs a little bit extra to get the MP3 converter software.
