Yes. I believe so is true. Most men would rather lie even though they love the person he is with; most men choose to do so to avoid an argument and or spare the other person feelings.
Some women say they want their man to tell them the truth, as long it is not something they want to hear.

Some ladies get married and go into ''Warden mode''.They tell there husbands who, what where when, why and how to thin live eat dress and behave..They slap on a short leash and jerk it often. They with hold sex and then wonder WHY DID HE CHEAT? or WHY DID HE LEAVE ME? So yea i believe a lot of married men do live in quiet desperation. If these men did this to there wives, they would be called abusers.

More men than not are unhappy in marriage. The reasons vary, but a lack of communication is usually the underlying cause. One problem is that women become controlling early in marriage and men allow this behavior to fester. A husband must not allow himself to be put on a leash, or be constantly taken on guilt trips. Sex is another problem in marriages, where husbands expect much more sex than their wives are willing to deliver.
When the children come, a new set of problems develop. Women become less attentive to their husbands and husbands become burdened with financial responsibilities that cause them emotional stress. The wife starts gaining weight and losing even more interest in sex, and the husband starts spending less time at home, or isolating himself when he is home. Wives then become depressed from a lack of affection, while men start seeking satisfaction elsewhere, or simply resign themselves to being miserable.
Marriage requires work, and when the two people involved don't learn to work toward maintaining a happy marriage, the relationship becomes stale. The couple ends up going through the motions of marriage, rather than enjoying the love that brought them together.

There are studies that indicate that men who are married are healthier than men who aren't.
If they're unhappy, they're at least healthy.
