No, that sounds like a bunch of Hollywood hooey that everyone buys in to these days, as though we can learn so much from love by watching movies and soap operas all day long. The more your heart gets broken, the less likely you are to truly love. The heart break is what makes us cynical and sad and unable to "give" any longer. It wrecks our ability to love.

well, in a way. i loved this girl in 6th grade, but i didn't know what to do with those feelings. we went out, but almost never did anything and didn't talk much. we broke up, and i felt incomplete for a long time. i went on to hate her, because i was a jerk, but then wanted to become friends with her, so i asked for forgiveness. she forgave me, and we quickly became best friends. she ended up admiting her love for me, and a few days later i told her that i also loved her. we are now going out, and this is the real deal. before, the love was true, but now, it's true and i know what to do with those feelings. so yea, it doesn't HAVE to break, but it might

true love doesnt just come from the opposite sex, a parents love for one, God's love is another one...
true has no boundaries and limitations, no ifs and buts, if you have it unconditionally, consider yourself lucky then.
but if you went through a lot b4 finding it, consider it as a blessing

it's a possibility. to know love, knowing heartbreak shows you've been through the negative side of something such as love. it's not like everyone has to be heartbroken to love.

Yes, sometimes. How can you truly value what you have unless you know what it's like to have lost it?
