About two days ago I got a knot in my leg while swimming. Eventually I was able to physically rub the knot out but the pain that came with it has not gone away. Does anyone have any idea why? Thanks for your answers in advance.

It might be a broken muscle capsule. Muscles are all encased in strong 'bags' of fibrous material, when one is broken the muscle can pop out, forming a "knot". Its normally not serious, but if you continue to have pain its advisable to see a doctor of course.

If it is red, hot or didn't come up because of an injury be careful, see a Dr. my friend last summer told me her leg hurt, I kept on her and it was DVT, Deep Vein Thrombosis and it can cause an imbolism a clot on the lung or a stroke. You need to be treated by a Dr. Please don't wait. Remember the reporter that died so young in Iraq, I think ? He was young and it happened to him. See someone ASAP.

Please go see a doctor. Don't take any chance. I lost to many family members because they wouldn't go to the doctor or they waited to long.
