iVTEC is "intelligent variable valve timing and lift electronic control", but that's just what it stands for. Basically, it is Honda's technology for giving your car more power, reducing emissions and giving it great fuel economy. In 1989, Honda came out with VTEC, and years later they came out with iVTEC. iVTEC is the next version of VTEC. The next one, i believe is going to be called A-VTEC, but i do not remember what the 'A' stands for. Honda says that it should come out in 2009.
