I have seen this man in concert twice , he is an excellent performer and such a talent . Alot of the comments have come from people who have never seen him perform, or people who get online and make cruel remarks about how ugly he is , are we so bored that all we can do with our spare time is bash a person because they aren't beautiful in our eyes. I think if this is all a person has to say is someone is ugly well like I said it seems cruel . If you don't like his music fine , but stating you don't like his music is one thing, but the cruel comments are hidious.

Because they have nothing better to do and they probably think that making fun of a person is cool. I have always told my kids before you make fun of someone or say a cruel remark put yourself in that person's place and see how you would like it.
You're right Barry is an excellent performer and has so much talent. I have always like his music and will continue to listen to him no matter what anyone says about him.

Thankfully, I have not seen these comments. However, I have heard people make fun of his music. They obviously are not aware of just what an amazing writer he is. I personally, have seen him in concert, a long long time ago, and he was fabulous. If I ever make it to vegas, as much as I am addicted to slot machines, he is one performer that would make me leave the one arm bandit, I don't think Celine could even do that!! I am glad he recovered from his recent surgery very quickly and without any complications. He is amazing, back performing so soon after back surgery.

Because some idiots expect to go to a concert with drugs and mosh pits. He is a very talented man and I have to figure that it's their own loss.
My friends act like i'm a geek because the last concert I went to was Alison Krauss and Union Station. It was a great show and there was alot more talent there than screaming into a mic.!!

I love Barry Manilow and have since I was a child. He is awesome and people don't realize just how many hits he is behind. Do you know he wrote the jingle...."Just like a good neighbor, State Farm is there?" for State Farm insurance.

I'm with you on this. Barry Manilow is a great entertainer-I love his music-he is a great song writer. He seems like a very nice man. Went to one of his concerts once - it was great.

I'm glad you like Barry Manilow, I Don't. His music is so cheesy and sappy. If you like it I guess he still has some fans. I wouldn't worry so much about what people say, most people are idiots.

because in this day and age with nobody knowing how to write a song without the f word in it i don't think they have the mentality to appreciate truthful good music. i think he was great in his day and when he was on american idol last season i truly enjoyed him as a guest judge.
