I have been having tingling in my left hands pinky and ring finger for no apparent reason, it feels like they are asleep but the sensation continues for hours?

you may have a pinched nerve, or something similar. My suggestion is to see a doctor.

It could be anything from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) to a pinched nerve to chemical exposure, or even the beginnings of Parkinson's Disease.

See a doctor.
