I'm From Brazil and had a great admiration in groups like: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, King Crimson...is the Discipline? The Britanic Discipline? Or the boring live in a gray and wet place make the musicians better?

We have good tuition in schools and colleges. As britain has quite a good standard of living , we are able to provide musical instruments for our children .

Britain has always been a very musical country.

EG. Wales has the choirs. The coal miners had their Brass bands.
We are brought up surrounded by music.

There are so many opertunities to make music. Such as playing in pubs, or open mike nights. There are lots of talent spotters around. We have a good music industry.

A lot of bands from this country tend not to be all about image, even if they do end up with a cult following who may have a certain dress code. They usually put more effort in to their music than their image. eg, brian may from queen (not the best dresed man in the world. lol).

Also, the dull grey weather makes us stay indoors so we have more time to write music. lol. =)

PS, i am not saying that the rest of the world dosn't have good bands . Some of my fav bands are american, greek, german, polish etc.

I have no clue. The bad food?

I have a theory that one in ten Brits are famous. There's so many of them, and Britain is such a tiny country!
