Tupac Shakur hands down... He rapped about a way of life it wasnt all party and booze how it is now.
And if you want to make an arguement about disrespecting women in rap.. Tupac played it down the middle he praised the women who deserved to be praised in "keep ya head up" and "baby dont cry" and he talked about the women who deserved to be scorned like "wonder why they call you *****"

Rakim from the group Eric B & Rakim is the best rapper,hands down.He never disrespected a woman on any of his albums,never said the"N" word and he was the highest paid rapper of the 80's besides Run-Dmc.He was very wise with the words he used ,and if Tupac was a little less thuggish he would have won that title.

My personal choice is Eminem. Number 1, I can understand what he is singing. Number 2, his older stuff is very poetic and filled with his life experiences. I don't like rap I cannot understand the words to. Thats just my opinion. I hate to look it up, I have no time for that. SING THE WORDS CLEARLY.
DANG, I FORGOT ABOUT TUPAC. But, it was a present tense question of who IS the best rapper. Not a WHO WAS the best rapper that ever lived. And you never added the word lived.

canibus because of his sick lyrics and wordplay patterns, also very nice flow and his voice is hardcore, his wordplay is pretty unique, hes ahead of his time writes lyrics on a different skill level lots of other rappers can't comprehend even eminem said something like "canibus uses complicated words" when he was battling him and he also had the best diss track ever written called second round k.o against ll cool j

m&m bcuz he is a white rapper who can flow about anything and he dosent tell you he is a gansta. he had a horrible life but inspired himself to be a producer and a rapper.

Tupac because he had songs that said someethig. All his songs werent all about tapping that assss. he had songs like brendas got a baby which talked about teen prgnancy. Dear mamma which had a deep meaning and changes which talked about our society and blacks peoples place in it.

Tupac because his lyrics are incredible and I have never heard lyrics like his. He helped alot of pepole with there everyday lives. Plus, he was not fake
