It possibly could be linked together. It all depends on what you do with your hands/finger nails. Have you touched something harmful or some type of chemical or creme and touched your eyes? Or have you accidently poked your eyes?
If not, your eyes could possibly be changing. At a young ago, your eyes are active, so they will change

lol... no. not unless you believe in the old wives' tale that states if you keep your face at a certain position for an extended period of time, it'll remain that way. what i mean to say is, if you keep staring at your fingers while you bite it (which would make you cross-eyed), you may end up being cross-eyed forever.
how stupid does that sound?

it depends if you have certain chemicals on you fingernails or hands that could cause blindness. I bit my nails for many years and unfortunetly used Lead products that go into my system and now I have dementia and other ailments.
