Yes Jack Sparrow did die when he jumped inside the monster's mouth but Elizabeth, Will and the other crew are going to help bring him back in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 coming out in Summer 2007.

Yes, dear beloved Jack did die. But, as you know, in the end Tia Dalma says that to save Jack, they must sail to the ends of the Earth, and that they need the help of ressurected Captain Barbosa (brought back to life by Jack the monkey(after the credits of #1); and, according to recent photos, they are going to have to sail through the Orient and battle... is that Genghis Khan? hmm.. gonna be a good movie.

Pirates 3 is in the making, I doubt very much if Jack Sparrow is dead!

No, he didnt die. Thats what the third and final movie is for. Will and the rest of the gang go the end of the earth to save him. They do rescue him in the third movie, so no, he's really not dead.

NO! Don't worry about it. He could never die! Plus, they filmed Pirates 3 while making Pirates 2. Why else would they film two movies at the same time if they needed the same characters?

He's now trapped in some kind of purgatory known as "Davy Jones locker" where Will and crew must rescue Sparrow from.
