1) get MSN messenger and make friends from other countries (interractions can help to improve english)
2) read news from Yahoo (again, reading helps you to understand english words)

I am a little afraid of what you could pick up from YA from any country. Why not the news? I used to pay a game when I was young (6 or 7). I would take a newspaper after everyone was done with it and I had a red pencil . I would circle the words and phrases I could read and new the meaning of. The ones I did not I would try to look up in a dictionary. As time went on everyday there was a little more red pencil .

Maybe you could try that with a translation dictionary?

I would not base my knowledge of the English language on the drivel and poor grammar in this forum if I were trying to learn English.
