lol-dont listen to them.
if you ejaculate inside her--they live 3-4 days waiting in hopes of an egg to make the cycle.
outside of the body though--they die instantly, basically there is no place for them to go to 'stay safe'

Some of these people have no idea what they are talking about.
If you ejaculated inside of her the sperm can live up to 3 days.
If you wiped off your penis after having ejaculated, then the sperm are dead. Sperm can only survive outside of the vagina if they are in a certain temperature and humidity.
That's why when a women has a problem getting pregnant and her husband ejaculates into a cup, they have to put it in a paper bag and only have a few minutes to get it to the doctor's office so they can put it in a secure place where the room temp is just right. Sperm can't survive outside of the liquid that they are in so since you wiped off, The sperm are dead.
But you do know that when you had sex with her after wards that some pre-*** could have entered her. If your aroused, then something can come out.
You need to always take per cautions if you don't want to become a father.
Have your gf get on birth control pills so you both have nothing to worry about.

A sperm cell if not exposed directly to air, meaning if it is still in the semen, can live for 3 days or more... as long as the sperm is kept moist. I think she does have a chance of getting pregnant if anything that potentially had sperm on it was put in her. Chances are that she will not be pregnat by this, but it is a possibility. Condoms and spermicides work best. Good luck.

Whoever says it dies 5 to 10 minutes after is wrong. Sperm can live from 1 to 3 days. If you had sex with your girlfriend after wiping it off, a little still got in her. There is a slight chance she could get pregnant. The chances are lower because you wiped off most of the sperm, but some still did get in her and there is always the small chance.

sperm DOES NOT die when it hits the air. Think about women who have gotten pregnant using the "turkey baster" method, the sperm we used had been in the air for at least 45 seconds before getting in there, I am currently 4 months pregnant. Think about in vitro fertilization, the sperm has got to be ejaculated, in most cases, then transported from the room to the lab before it gets frozen.
If you wiped your ejaculate before having sex with your girlfriend, the chances she will get pregnant are unlikely, but sperm does not die when it hits the air.
Every idiot that is saying that sperm dies when it hits the air, needs to go back to sex ed class, immediately.
When we had OUR sperm analysis done, now remember, this is from personal experience, we had an hour and a half to get it to the doctors office and lab...which means that sperm can live in the air for up to at least an hour and a half...yet again people, they do have sex ed classes...go sign up.

There are millions of sperm each time. They live from several hours to 5 days inside the woman. They live less than a few hours outside the body. Soap and water will kill sperm, if none escape!!!

think about this, do you relly think sperm dies when it hits the air? if that were the case they wouldent have sperm banks, now would they? yes you mite have wiped the majority of it off, but that dosent mean that everything is compleatly removed. the possibility of your gf getting pregnant are very small, but at the same time you musent be to worried since you didnt think to ware a condom or use other methods of birth control.

Nope. They can live for 3-5 days, I believe. Although, female sperm live for longer, but male sperm move faster.
