My six month old has two large bumps on each side of the back of his neck. They are hard like bones and can be felt easily by a hand. I have nothing like this on my neck? They are at the bottom of his head/ very top of neck. I do not think they are swollen lymphnodes. They are much harder and larger than that. He has his six month well check on Monday so I will ask the Dr then. Does anyone else's child have these? What do you think?

My youngest son has one of these on the back/side of his neck. It's about the size of a marble and is hard. His has been there since he was about 6 months old as well. I have had him to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and it's been tested. His is just an enlarged lymph node. He's 3 and 1/2 now and it's never been a problem for him. His Dr said just to watch it and to bring him in if I notice any change in it, like it getting larger or becoming painful for him. Hope that this helps some.

Swollen lymph nodes likely? Has he been ill those days, or is he getting ill? That or glands. likely no longer some thing to be worrying too a lot about about. likely could take him to a health care professional, because he would have an infection. I used to have those each and each of the time even as i grow to be a baby notwithstanding, everytime I were given a nasty chilly or flue.

This is not normal. The only thing that you can do is have the doctor check them. Maybe they are muscle spasms or something. Does he seem ill? I hope that everything turns out ok for him.

You make damn sure that the doctor does tests and Knows Just what exactly those bumps are. if he is no help, you take him to an Oncologist. good luck!
