It's ARTHUR, not Auther. And his father was Uther Pendragon, who persuaded Merlin to cast a glamour on him so he looked like Gorlois, the Duke of Cornwall and Ygraine's husband. Unfortunately, Gorlois was killed by Uther's men at almost the same time Uther was with Ygraine.

Usually legend/history has his father being Uther Pendragon, who seduced the wife of a warlord of his, Igraine (or Ygraine). She might have been willing, or she might not have been.

It depends on what you read and what interpretation you believe.
