Basketball is the better sport. It requires using your entire body, not just your feet. The scoring is more frequent, more on this at the end. Basketball is held indoors so you can enjoy air conditioning. Since the brawl with Detroit and the Pacers, no such violence in the NBA. Unlike soccer where hooligans are a daily occurence, a violent occurence at that. Soccer is the lamest sport of all because people celebrate when they get a tie. Score zero to zero for a bunch of zeros to watch.

First of all, "better" is a vague word, so it's really tough to answer that. Second of all, you're asking a bunch of Americans if they like soccer better than basketball. We are infamous for not caring about soccer--you should have know what the answer would be to your question before you asked it.

I play both. It depends what you like if you like more of a passing slower game soccer is for you. If you like fast paced high scoring and lots of action then basketball should be your choice.

Soccer most definately...I never was into soccer until my daughter started playing...there is a whole lot more skill involved in playing soccer.
