TUCONFUSED is wrong.Techno and House are both genres of ELECTRONIC music.
The only similarity between them, is that they both use electronic instruments. The sound, however is COMPLETELY different.
(It's like Country music and Hard Rock, for example: Just because both use electric guitars doesn't mean they sound the same, right??)
You will find many definitions on the internet for Techno and House music, but in my opinion the best way to identify them is to listen to both:

that's my bypass at it when you consider that i love Trance and domicile, yet not the others...I not an authority yet i love the music and once got down to respond to this question on my own. domicile has countless really complicated beats and countless bass Trance is more desirable melodoic and comfortable and calming Techno is annoying and hits an same beat like all 2 seconds through the full problem Electro is more desirable resembling digital tones that some human beings imagine are music. countless human beings classify those products into an same form yet they are surely not although they are maximum all created digitally all of them sound different.

well heres my take. house i loosely intertwined with "house" music of chicago. its pretty much heavier on the bass and jazzy/underground rap feel. carl cox is a well-known house musician. techno is more german dance inspired. it has more bleepish sounds and has a little faster bpm than house. imagine comparing chopped and screwed rap to punk rock. one is just more chilled while the other is energetic. thats just my fan opinion and not a true musical analysis.

Techno refers to all forms of electronic music. House is just a specific type of electronic dance music.
