I was just wondering if it was normal to not have a period for two months and not be pregnant? i am 25 an just recently had my baby almost 4 months ago and the last time i had a period was this past november. I took 3 preg test but they came back negative so is this normal not to have a cycle for 2 months straight? oh and i am not on any kind of bc (don't need it for now)

Some women get their periods when the baby is 2-3 months old, even if they are exclusively breastfeeding. It all depends on how sensitive your body is to the hormonal influences of breastfeeding. Once your period does return, it may be irregular for a while while you continue to breastfeed. Remember- even if you don't have a period, it is still possible to get pregnant as you can still be ovulating.

I'm not sure how it relates to pregnancy, so that's a tough questions. Were you regular before you were pregnant? A lot of women who exercise a lot (for example, athletes) do not have regular cycles. Are you working out a lot to try to get rid of the extra pounds from pregnancy? Also, the hormonal stress and change that you are undergoing may play a big part in when your cycle will return to it's previous state. Since there are so many factors in determining whether or not your experience is harmful or irregular, I would suggest asking your OB/GYN. Having a child causes huge changes in women's bodies and I'm sure they get questions like this all of the time.

What is normal for one is not normal for the other . So you have also went through just recently having a baby and that may take awhile too to get your periods back to where they are normal for you. Yes i agree if in doubt probably a call to your Dr. office and it will be answered that way.

Go to your Ob/Gyn for a blood test. Home preg tests may be inaccurate due to recent birth of baby. You're hormones are still kinda whacked. If you're not preg, then maybe they can determine what is up....

It can be normal, especially if something major like having a baby or even just getting off of birth control can delay a period.
It can also be a sign of something serious. If you feel like something is wrong, or not sure, go see a doctor.

sounds like a component result from the dep. shot you're able to be able to wanna get off birthcontrol I had step forward bleeding for an entire month collectively as on the pill for no longer taking it precise and it sucks because of the fact whilst this happens there's no longer something you're able to do to cease it.

it's not too abnormal, no. if you're breastfeeding and obviously even running around taking care of a little one, it's most likely that. stress can do it to you everytime. having a baby is hard! and the body knows it.
