You need to buy at least 4 qts of the correct oil, an oil filter, and an oil filter wrench.

Then you take the oil filler cap off the engine, and under the car remove the oil pan drain bolt. Allow the oil to drain into a container.

Once all the oil is out use the wrench to remove the oil filter. Easy to find, since you bought a new one and can look at it to see what your looking for. Twist on the new oil filter, but not too tight!

Replace the oil pan drain bolt, also not too tight!

Then go back to the filler cap, and fill the car with the amount of oil it needs. Don't overfill you could damage seals. Don't under fill you could hurt the engine.

Run the car unti lit is normal operating temp and check the oil levels, top off as nessaray./

Take the old oil to the recycling place and don't pollute the earth with dumping it somewhere it doesn't belong!!!!!!

first off you need to know how to raise your car safely so you can get under it. i suggest that you buy some jack stands . or car ramps . use wheel chocks . blocks to prevent the car from rolling .
get an oil collection pan plastic ones from car parts place
set in position. remove the oil pan drain plug slowly line up the pan with the flow of oil and let it drain . you are best to let it drain for a few minutes . replace the drain plug. remove the oil filter.
have the drain pan under that too as it will have lots of oil in it .
get some fresh new oil and rub that on the rubber seal of the new oil filter and screw that on snug. knowing how much oil your car takes helps but add one or two small bottles wait see if any comes out of drain plug if not lower car. keep adding fresh oil
until your one can short of full start car. let it run see if oil leaks from the pan or filter. if not shut off let car sit for ten min check oil level dipstick then add the last bit of oil . make sure not to over fill
the oil . run car one more time check for leaks again just look under it and at filter . and then dispose of the oil in the collection pan by taking it to someplace that accepts it .
drive car normally and after a short drive 10 miles or so check oil one more time see if there is any leak and check dipstick
if no leak drive normal check normal . best whenever you get gas check dipstick. thats it

I have a set of ramps I drive up on. I screw out the oil pan plug, and while the oil is draining, I grease the steering and u-joints, and remove and replace the oil filter. I let it roll down off the ramps, pour in 5 quarts of oil and start the engine, check for leaks, record the mileage and drive on.

You can do yours anyway you like, but that is how I do mine, and that was the question.
