It all depends on the person and their body. My mother in law is also undergoing chemo right now, and they also told her that she would have the regular side effects of chemo ie. extreme tiredness, nausea etc. But thanks to God, she didnt experiance much of anything. Once, after her shots, she felt really sleepy for the first two or three days, but after that she was perfectly normal. She is eating and sleeping fine, thanks to God. So, it really does depend on the person and their body.

you can expect nausea, vomiting, weight loss, severely decreased immunity, hair loss and tiredness from anemia. while you are on chemo it is imperitive that you stay away from sick people. try to eat what ever you can stomach. don't let people make you feel bad about eating something that is unhealthy if that is the only thing you can keep down. you may also discuss anti nausea and appetite stimulating drugs as well as procrit (for rbc production) with your doctor. you will also probly experience a great deal of anger and depression so a support group would be ideal.

Don't take chemo it has a 97% failure rate. There are natural alternatives that CURE CANCER. Do some research on vitamin B17. You will be amazed with all the natural alternatives out there and how much they can help you. I repeat DO NOT TAKE CHEMO!! Doctors have no intentions of helping you they just want to make $$$$. Chemo has too many negative side effects.

It really depends on what chemotherapy you are getting.
The common symptoms are tiredness, nausea, loss of appetite and lowered immune system.
But your oncologist should have given you written information about all these side effects and been through this with you.
If s/he hasn't, make sure you ask them, this is basic oncology care that you shouldn't have to ask yahoo answers for.
