Do they make the ride smoother? How often do you have to change them and what is the best brand.

Yes, I do mean the wheel bearings, but how often do you have to change the other ones. I don't mean an electric scooter, I have a Razor A3 Scooter. It's just a regular kick scooter.

Which bearings?
There are bearings on the wheels to allow the wheels to turn.
There are bearings on the steering to allow the handlebars to turn side to side, and there are bearings inside the motor to allow the motor to run smoothly.

You should only have to change bearings when a part is no longer turning smoothly such as wheels, or if there is to much play (side to side motion).

There are bearing in different parts. However, you probably talking about wheel bearings. They are packed in grease and are around the wheel. They help the wheel to spin with less friction. Some bearing packs are sealed and may need to be replaced once in a while usually for under 100 bucks. Some can also be greased, it is a pretty important thing and should be done everytime you change the oil or every other time so you don't forget.

bearings are used in almost everthing that moves. bearings are used as a surface for something to roll on . i dont know what bearings on this scooter you are refering to but i can tell you that most need grease and in time some need to be changed.
in some cases a bearing set is sealed and so you have to buy a new set or in other more common systems one or two ball bearings can be removed and replaced.
what ever bearings your asking about its the same a visual inspection of them looking for worn ones is the best way to tell.

The bearings where? If they are on the wheels, they reduce friction between the axle and the wheel. They need to be repacked about every 5000 miles and sooner if you are running 10" or smaller tires.

Like wheel bearings? You shouldn't have to change them unless they're broken. Basically they allow the wheels to move while still connecting them to the frame. You can tell if their busted by jiggling the wheel and seeing if there is any play.

they keep your wheels from locking up. they are there for the wheels to move freely and so they run smooth. You don't want metal to metal contact when your moving. Just keep them greased up and you should be fine.
