I've tried scratching it and it the large portions came off, but doesn't seem to get the rest off. I've tried methylated spirits but didn't quite work either. Please help me!

Oh right I was kinda cutting the top of my white-out off because it was empty and wouldn't come out. Yeah, that's how it happened.

0000 steel wool. Buff, buff, buff it out.

Try a toothbrush. The finer the bristles the better. Also put some oil on it, like 3 in 1 oil.

Put it in the freezer overnight. Next day use another knife to scrape it off.

The only thing I can think of is Comet and some steel wool.

Try freezing it and then working the material and it might break into small pieces and fall off.

nail poilish remover usually works on most things, maybe soaking in hot soapy water and rubbing at it will help too

I'm really really really really sorry for not answering your question, and normally I would NEVER do that, but I REALLY want to know...how did you get white out on that knife?

Be very very very careful... and try scraping it with a razor blade or other sharp edged instrument.

Try denatured alcohol or laquer thinner.
