The sound of a newborn infant crying for the first time. It has been ten years, but I still remember the sound of my twins exercising their lungs and taking their first breaths. With new life there is always hope.

A voice.
A voice that is familiar. That was soothing... comforting... nurturing. A voice that would make my whole body and soul relax ... relax in the sense that I could then open my eyes and see beyond to what could be... to all of the possibilities.
Sometimes the voice of reason can be the voice of hope. Imagining a voice that you truly know, love and respect speaking those words to you makes them seem ....... real. Attainable. Not just a pie in the sky fantasy. (Believe it or not.... no pun intended *wink*)
But if I had my choice.... I'd pick a voice of the one person I love.... trust.... believe in. Their voice would definitely symbolize "Hope."
