I'd change my 17th year of life (1972)... the year my mother died. I would have been there more for her, instead of being the self-centered teenager that I was.

Nothing. If you tweaked ANYTHING in history, AT ALL, it would completely and radically change absolutely everything. If you killed one man a hundred years ago, nobody alive today would exist- we would all be different people. You can't try to control the flow of events. Infinite things happen simultaneously, and tweaking even one of them will change all of the next. If you killed Hitler, you have no idea what could have happened- it arguably could have been worse, much worse. Think I'm wrong? I'm not. Hitler is dead, yes? Let us assume since Hitler died, his mother would then take different day to day courses of actions. This affects the schedules of people around her ,and therefore the people those people know. There are millions of possible people right before conception, depending on the sperm that reaches the ovum. Everyone in Germany in the 1920's is different. (This is assuming all the stuff before would have happened for the point I'm making) Someone rises to 'save' Germany, except they aren't hellbent on killing Jewish people and Slavs- but they do go to war, just like Hitler did. One of the thigns that hurt Hitler in some major battles was his lack of logistical support- it was all going into extermination of innocent people. So lets say the Battle of Britain, if it even happened, is won. Europe is conquered. Then what? I mean, this is a myriad wrapped in an enigma in a puzzle...but you get the idea. You have NO IDEA AT ALL what would happen, and therefore, I would change nothing whatsoever.

Gosh, there are so many: what comes to mind most are the Nazi Death Camps under Hitlers' command - which, even today, some people choose to deny its existance. So, basically, if I was to control events, I'd wipe out Hitler as a person. Also: if you're up to speed with South African history, you'll know that Brittain occupied South Africa until the 1960's. In 1899 the Anglo-Boerwar broke out here, and Brittain had the scorched earth policy, during which farms and live stock were burnt to the ground and woman & children (together with their remaining farm workers) were sent to concentration camps. This occurred while the fathers, sons and grandfathers were defending our land. If I had the power to change that single event (Anglo Boer War), that would definitely be good. So many INNOCENT lives were lost...

I wish the wealthy widow never married Muhammad and that he stayed a caravan driver the rest of his life - too busy, tired and poor to dream up a new religion. There would be no Muslim fundamentalists today intent on blowing up all of us infidels.

Given the amount of damage various organized religions have caused, and still cause, I would snuff them out. Humanity will never know peace until we outgrow childish superstitions.

I would have counted the Florida dangling chads at Bush's first election to president to make he didn't get elected the first time. I would have gone to Ohio to campaign for Kerry to make sure he didn't get elected the second time.
