You can take a bath unless you water breaks, but a shower is easier because you don't have to get up out of the bath at 34 weeks pregnant, it is hard enough to just get around, let alone get out of the tub :) Good luck and congradulations.

Up until the other day when I lost my mucus plug, I took baths with my 2 year old keep in mind, I am 36 weeks pregnant 75% effaced and 2 cm dilated. It is safe to take a bath up until labor or when you lose your mucus plug after that it is not recommended because of the risk of infection.

If you're comfortable taking a bath, take a bath. Especially if you think its going to make you feel better. Make sure someone is home in case you have a hard time getting in and out of the bath. You can't get the infection unless your water breaks. Good luck!!!

Well, if it were me, I probably would not take the bath, just a shower. Seeing as you cervix is starting to open, you are subject to bacteria entering in. This can cause several problems. I know you probably would love to soak in a nice warm bath, but I would save that for after baby was here! I wish you the best. I hope you have a safe and speedy delivery and that your baby is healthy. Good luck!

When you are dialating it's not good to take a bath because of bacteria such as when you wash in the water it becomes dirty and should not enter your cervix to cause any infections. Take showers now and up to six week after delivery.

You have to be careful because your water could break in the tub and you'd be open to infection as well as the baby. If you're gonna do it, don't stay in too long as a precaution.

Ok have your membranes ruptured? If yes-NO BATH if no then baths are ok but just be careful getting in and out of the tub. Ask your husband/boyfriend to help you in and out or if you dont have either and no one is shy ask someone you know and trust to help you. Congrats

Yes it's absolutely fine as long as your bag of fluid is still intact. This will prevent any water from coming into contact with your baby.

Good Luck!

its okay to take one if the water is not too warm. warmth induces labor,so just take a barely lukewarm bath. you should be okay as long as you dont lay in it for a long time.
