I'm just wondering what you do with the 1/2" hole in your earlobe when the fad goes away? Not like you can cover it with a shirt or wait for remove it and it will grow shut. It's permanent, right?

For the record, I am not considering this, I find it silly, due to this very question.

You're screwed! Stupid people do stupid things. Start saving for a plastic surgeon.

I've had a few friends who have gauged their ears, and while I don't think it's the most classy thing in the world, there are definitely worse fads. I'm pretty sure that your lobes will grow back up somewhat if you take out the gauges or go down a size. I recall my friend telling me that his ears grew up a bit when he lost his gauge. Whether it'd go back completely normal, I don't know.

If by using stretcher you advise "tapers" (the lengthy spike searching ones) then no, i don't believe of they are too pleasing. those are not fairly made to be everlasting rings that you position on. you're meant to stretch your ears with them, and then insert widespread rings jointly with plugs, or tunnels, excellent after wards. Having huge spikes on your ears isn't too beautiful. accepted rings looks astounding, notwithstanding. i appreciate stretched ears, see you later as they are no longer so huge that they turn outward like Dumbo's.

yeah...it's permanant. you might be able to get a plastic surgeon to fix it but why would you want to spend the money to do that just for some "fad" that will be gone as quick as it came?

Congratulations on your good sense. What happens is, you wear the stupid thing looking idiotic till you can afford plastic surgery to get it fixed. (this is using the 'editorial you' - I don't mean you personally!)

it depends how long you have them in for. my brother had his in for about a year, then took them out and they closed completely. if you make them too big and keep them in for years and years you will need surgery to close them.
