On what? Headache should be treated with meditation not medication. Chronic pains should be consulted with a doctor not to be just ignored and shrugged off by a painkiller

Prednisone is NOT a painkiller. But you could take it if you would like to gain fat around your abdomen, have insomnia, grow excess facial hair, etc.

You should only use it under a Dr.'s care. It makes you feel good but you pay a price. It makes your bones brittle and many other things that's why they will only give a shot to people about 4 times a year. Over time it will make a person's bones brittle, open to fractures and breaks that they normally would not. Also, the pills cause you to retain fluid making you have a moon face appearance. i've never heard anyone say they like the pills. I have had to have the shots and they make me sick.

depends what the cause of the pain is from. No painkiller works long term.
