Because both or one side has such strong religious convictions and let what family think, that they are willing to let their love for one another become second. Very, very sad indeed. My wife and I are of two different cultures and of course from two different religions. Did we let that stop our love for each other. Heck no and we still love each other very much today almost 32 years later. Thank the good Lord we did not let religion or family get in our way. No religious pun intended.

Are you wanting to know why people don't marry someone they're obviously in love with because of differences of religion? I'm not sure if that's your question (you might want to ask this a little more clearly) but if it is, then differences in religion can cause huge problems in a marriage, and especially in raising children. Some religions also preach to their congregations that to marry outside of their faith is sinful. It's hard to shake religious teachings that you were raised with.

What poor excuses for abandoning marriage plans. Seems to me that they can`t be honest about their feelings. Do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone , (and I mean the rest of your life) so emotionally disabled? (Religion, whatever is only another excuse)
