i have a thornless blackberry in my yard,it has loads of fruit but they are sour.
can any one help me why are they sour??

It may be that they are nor ripe enough but it probably is just the variety of berries you have. Some varieties are just naturally sweeter than others and others are more sour. Some people prefer them more sour.

I pick blackberries every year in Washington State. The thornless blackberries have less flavor than the wild blackberries. The wild blackberries are packed with flavor-- sweet and sour. The thornless are just bland.

Not at all; they're probably just not ripe.

That being said, we usually prefer to pick our blackberries before they go totally ripe. We prefer them with a slight tang to just bland/sweet.

Sounds like they're not getting enough sun, or it's not hot enough.
