anorexia. They showed "before and after" pictures, including one taken while she was hospitalized 2 wks before Christmas--a total horrifying bag of bones. To me it changed the mood from Wake to a Montel or some lesser side-show style talk show. I went from feeling sad to feeling disgusted. The families voted on what pictures to use. But everyone there knew how she suffered. Why would someone do that? and What would you have done?

Yea, it sounds really sick, but you know maybe the family wanted people to be aware of how devastating the disease can be so people won't ignore it in a friend or family member. I had a relative who died from a drug overdose, and the family covered it up and told everyone , even in the newspaper that she had died from "natural causes". I think that's worse and instead of protecting the dead's reputation , I think it just makes them all liars and unable to deal with issues or be of any use to others.
