I didn't care much for school when I was in it, but now doing the day to day grind of a regular work week I miss it. I acctually miss the homework and the breaks you get, like summer break and winter break. Now I only get 19 days out of the year that I can get off.

I wasn't a very good student and as I was the tallest girl in the class, I wasn't the most popular either. It was the worse time in my life, those 5 years of high-school.
As an adult, I went back to school at night and worked during the day. I completed 2 degrees at night (it took 12 years), and really enjoyed my classes as the subjects related to the real world. The added plus was that the teachers were also working in the subject area which gave me the added advantage of learning from experts.
Great Question!!!

I think it depends on your enviroment if you are comfortable or not. I love school, sometimes there a lot of drama, but you have to learn to get over the small things. I used to hate school I couldnt stand it, I would make every little excuse to miss school. But now that I transferred and meet new people I LOVE IT!! Exept for the waking up early part and having to do homework and worrying about grades.

I like how it expands your social circle. But theres alot of work involved, this part i dont like. tip of advice if you dont know what you want to do with your life and go to college to take arts for a year, dont do it cause doing schoolwork with there being no motiviation behind it sucks asss. I doubt ill go back next year unless i know what i want to do, because arts will get you NOWHERE. But its ok i guess. It beats working on the rigs, or in the bush thats for sure, except you get paid when your working. Just go to school with a goalin your head like: im going to do this for 4 years and get good marks, and ill have a good job and what not.

I loved and still love school.
It wasn't a nightmare, ok some of the time it was but I'm sure that happens to a lot of people.
The work got me to where I am today, I love learning.
A professor once told me this, "The acquistiton of knowledge is a reflection upon those who wish to acquire it."

i haven't been in school since 1993 , I enjoyed it to a point just to see my friends but I was most happy to see that my grade point average was a A average because i thought I was barely making in through high school. So its worth it to get that diploma and go beyond high school . Cus making bottom of the basket money from not getting a diploma is a constant struggle. So get ya school work on cus while your having fun with your friends believe me they are getting the education and future plans on. So don't think they not accomplishing nothing by goofing off in class with you . Please believe me they have to go home to parents whom don't play when it comes to education.

It's been awhile, but now looking back I had a lot of fun while I was in school, especially college. If I still had the energy, I'd love to live those years again.

K-12 was ALRIGHT...it was nothing I'd re-live if given the chance. But college...WHEW!!!! It was the best experience I've ever had. The freedom and self-discovery of my college-years (I'm talking undergrad AND grad school) made all the tarts in high school worth it. Hang in there!
