I have to choose a country to do a report on the European Union and I don't know which one to choose.

Which would have the most info besides the most obvious (France, Germany, etc.)?

Thank you very much for your help.

Here is the list by the way:

Austria
Belgium
Bulgaria
Cyprus
Czech Republic

Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Ireland
Italy
Latvia
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Netherlands
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Slovakia
Slovenia
Spain

All countries are interesting in their own right, but perhaps it might be more fun to do a report on a country that is a little less known than the major ones which are usually in the media...
Whichever country you choose though, you can find good information through this link:
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html
and on wikipedia, although of course as you probably already are aware of, you have to be a little careful with using wikipedia as source material, since the information there isn't verified.
Good luck with your report.

I should choose Belgium. You can tell about the rich history (always been the battle fields between the big countries), Brussels and the EU offices.
Belgium was a member since the first day of the EU and before there they had already formed a mini EU with Luxemburg and the Netherlands (BeNeLux).
On Wickypedia you find a lot of data.
Beside a lot of Belgians are on Yahoo and willingly to help you with more information.

Even if I'm from Italy, I suggest you Slovenia: they joined EU in much more easier way than other Countries (in recent years, I mean) and feel more comfortable by this change; they're also had less problem in switching to Euro (it really worth having a look about this!) and their economy is growing up.

Did you know that the developers of the atomic bomb; the holograph; moon rover; Model T Ford; and the fathers of binary code, BASIC and computer programming; the atomic bomb, nuclear engineering; the California wine industry; the U.S. Cavalry; the Model T Ford; matches; color television; full-length motion pictures; the carburetor; the Zeppelin; the automatic gearbox; the moon rover; Intel Corporation; and of the U.S. aerospace industry are all Hungarian-Americans?

When Nobel Laureate Enrico Fermi was asked if he believed in extraterrestrials, he replied, "They are already here...they are called Hungarians!"

How could you NOT choose Estonia???? Come on, who can resist their antiquated customs and rapidly evolving cultural and political norms? It's an amazingly accelerated leap into capitalism with all the intrigue of the best James Bond movie!!!

You'll love it!

I would choose Ireland because for the first time in their history their economy is booming, it is considered the best economy in Europe right now, I hope they keep their economic policy in place and become the richest country in Europe.
