it depends on the condition of the finish. if it looks new and just needs protection you should use a yellow carnuba wax... i like maguier's # 26. if it has light oxidation you would want to use a light cut emuslifying cleaner then a polish which really brings out the shine and the "depth of color " then use the yellow wax. when dealing with black depth of color is important... look at your reflection in the paint and take notice of the "trueness" of the colors in the reflection... the less true the color the more oxidized it is. and the guy that says clearcoat doesn't need wax is a card carrying moron

Most any wax that has carnuba oil in it is good for black. I've owned this color vehicle before and, it's very high maintenance. Your car must be free of all grit and, the wax pad must be free of all hardness and dirt too. Cars should only be waxed in the shade and, should be cool to the touch.

I always use Maguires Color X with a top coat of Maguires Gold Class. Zaino is also a great wax, they have kits to to take care of most problems you might have.

What difference does it make who owns the car? What, do black people's cars shine up different from white people's? Or are you just saying that black people have a different standard of 'best'?

Oh, you mean a vehicle that is black. Sorry, my bad.

If your car was built after 1991 it is clearcoated and does not need waxing.

If it is pre 1991 it's Mother's California Gold all the way.
