As long as he's healthy, he just might not be hungry. Don't worry, he will eat when he gets hungry enough. Be sure that you remove any uneaten food, if he doesn't eat it or it could cloud and foul his water.

My Bettas don't eat the pellets either. Nutra Fin Betta Flakes are well liked. Buy some frozen brine shrimp and give him a small amount. These are kept in the freezer at most pet shops that sell fish. These are rarely rejected by any kind of fish. This will help his appetite. Good luck and things will improve.

Some betta pellets sink and he won't chase them. Flakes (just a pinch) is probably what he was raised on so stick with them for a few days. He won't starve right away so be patient. A dither fish (tank mate with an appetite) would help and as a last resort try to find a pet store with live brine shrimp. You don't need many shrimp so try to get the store to sell you 1/4 of a portion because the shrimp will die pretty fast.

Hes getting used to his new environment. Not eating for a week or 2 wont hurt him, he will eat when hes ready. Just keep offering but remove any uneaten fishfood in 15 minutes.
You also might want to try frozen bloodworms, frozen brineshrimp, live brineshrimp, freezedried bloodworms, hikari betta biogold pellets, omega one betta buffet pellets, omega one betta buffet flakes, and hbh betta bites, frozen misquito larvae, live misquitoe larvae, newborn baby guppy or molly or platy. Ive noticed bettas dont like the aquaculture betta pellets from walmart, they were too hard.

Try a different food brand. Maybe he doesn't like the food you're feeding him. He usually only eats 4 pellets a week. Try my source and pick a food. Good luck!

If the temperature in his bowl or whatever is low he may not be hungry. When he doesn't eat be sure to siphon the uneaten food out. It's really hard for a fish to starve, and it takes a long time. More fish are killed by too much food than not enough. Be patient, and don't worry. PeeTee

don't worry ---fish can go for quite a while (like a week) with nothing to eat and they will still be okay. Make sure you don't leave the food in the water if he's not eating it....but I believe bettas can be slow eaters.
