you can reach up from the bottom of it,,and turn the emergency knob,,and raise it up..you,ll have to leave it up for a while,,but the relay for it has probably gone bad,,don't try breaking anything on it,,its not necessary to get it up,,they put a back up system on it,,in case this happens,,look for the knob,you,ll find it,good luck hope this help,s.

You will break the linkage on the headlamp motor if you do. These are common in winter and that's why you see Firebirds and 'Vettes on the road with the headlamps open. If you are in a cold climate you may be able to get them working by warming up the car since they are hydraulic.

if you follow the vacuum lines back from the headlight door it will go to a small connector with two vacuum lines,turn it 90 degrees and it will alllow the door to be opened and stay open
