Likely it'll be sent First Class Mail and be put in your mailbox. Unless you specified another shipping option like FedEx or UPS, then they'll bring it to your door.
If the shipping option was Media Mail, thats the lowest rate to send, but even that will be in your mailbox... it will just take longer to get it.

I have only had a couple of things delivered from the Internet. It was shipped through UPS. Did they give you and estimated date of delivery? Better alert a neighbor and leave a note on the door to deliver the package next door if you can't be home for delivery. UPS is bad about just leaving it right smack at the front door. There is not a thing to stop any one from walking up to your door step and taking your merchandise. I ordered from a catalog one time and had a type writer stolen that way.

I buy movies off the net, and they were being left outside by my mail box, fortunately none ever went missing, but I didn't like taking the risk, so I now have a Post Office box and that is where they go now, much safer.

You can choose the shipping when you buy the item. If you choose USPS, your mailman will deliver it. If you are not home, the postman will return it to the postoffice and leave you a note.
If you choose UPS or FEDEX, a courier will deliver it. Yes, they leave it on the step. That's why you should insure it or require a signature at delivery.

it really depends on how they ship it....
if these use the USPS, the mailman will try to put it in your mailbox.....if it's too big, he'll knock on your door.....if no one is home, he'll leave a note for you to come and pick it up at the post office.
if they ship UPS, or FedEx......sometimes they leave the box.....sometimes they wait and try and re-deliver...I've had it both ways.....and I DID have to sign for a delivery the day before yesterday, and I did not request a " sign at delivery " option.....so it all depends on the carrier ...
everything I've had shipped to me has come in a plain brown box....
hope that helps...

Yeah they leave it on your doorstep unless you want confirmation with your signature. Boxes are basic as they come.

Circuit City uses UPS. They just leave it on your front porch. You will be able to track it with a tracking number to see when it will be delivered.

Good question, because when I ordered books from Amazon.com they just dropped 'em off at my door (didn't even bother to knock).

yes, it comes in a regular box, and no one has to sign for it anymore, for any carrier. they ring your doorbell and leave it there.
