That depends on if it is automatic or standard. If it is a manual transmission and you have all the bolts out of it. Try putting a screwdriver or prybar between the motor and tranny and hit it with a hammer. If it is an automaticmake sure oyu unbolt the flywheel from the torque converter. Then try to pry it apart.

First of all make sure that "everything" is unbolted, pertaining engine and transmission joining. Then after confirming all is unbolted, attempt to pry them apart...Do not use a torch...or a hammer lol....or "anything that will cause damage", a LARGE flat head screwdriver may do it if you don't have a pry-bar handy. Mechanic's common sense lol

Are you engaged on an automated or known trans ? and are you attempting to split trans and bell housing or trans and engine ? If an automated , you won't be able to separate body from bell housing with trans nonetheless interior the motor vehicle . If known , the throwout bearing should be retaining you again . If std. , have you ever unhooked ALL connections which includes snatch fork ?

If it don't come loose by jostling the transmission around just a little, you don't have all the bolts out. Check it over very carefully.

just try to get a big screwdriver in between the engine and trans and as you lift the engine, pry.
