She is my Best friend we've been friend for over 10 years. Her dad found out he had cancer and was going into chemo, but then yesturday found out he has less then 2 weeks left to live and going fast.

I was looking for a song I could use to put together something for her to show her I love her and I will be there for her.

Can anyone please give me a suggestion, I was thinking the new avril lavigne song Keep Holding On, but I wasn't sure if it sounded more romantic.
Thanks
Drea

I am so sorry to hear about what is going on with your best friend's dad. What is her dad's favorite song? Maybe that could be some help or a song that the both of them like. I hope everything turns around for her and her family and you as well.

Try 'Holes in the Floor of Heaven' by Steve Wariner.
It is about a little boy who's Grandma dies. But his Mom told him that there are holes in the floor of heaven and that's how she can see down and watch over you and me.
It is a very nice sounding song.
I don't know how your friend feels or how you feel so I won't pretend to... but keep smiling at her and be a happy thing for her. It won't help if her best friend is always sad for her. Help her take her mind off it.
A song is a good way to tell her you'll be there. But while you're thinking be there.

Homesick by Mercy Me.

Go rest high on that mountain by Vince Gill

These songs tell of the pain of losing a loved one and having to stay here on earth without them. They also both give the hope of being reunited once again one day.

Louis Armstrong › What A Wonderful World (2:19)

I see trees of green........ red roses too
I see em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do
Theyre really sayin......i love you.

I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
Theyll learn much more.....than Ill never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

(instrumental break)

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do

I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
*spoken*(you know their gonna learn
A whole lot more than Ill never know)
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

If you want to send me what your feelings are, like the tears that are felt when you feel your friends pain. or any words that express what you want her to know.. then send them and I can write you one., or you can listen to the song don Mckleen the cabinet makers son. its about him and his father before his dad passed on.
