Obviously, more questions need to be answered, but I have a loan product that caps at 25k that I've been using a lot to help some small businesses in my area for working capital.

Good decision. The sooner you start, the sooner you achieve success. Might I suggest a talk with one of the counselors at the SBA. They are a government agency that will help you with start up information free of charge. They do not offer loans but may have a plan for how you can get startup assistance. They can also help with a business plan which is critical for getting any serious investor to side with you and your business. Check out the SBA link below and also http://www.score.org.

ps banks pay interest. off-shore banks top 7% and pretty safe investments yield 10%pa. can you beat that?
