Regardless on whether or not you think that we are in Iraq to protect oil, I have a question for everyone.

What's wrong with wanting to protect our oil sources? People act like that's a bad thing. This country's blood is oil. We could not survive one day without it. Yes, even the "green" people need oil in their everyday lives...it's not just for gasoline. Speaking of gasoline, you would be upset if we suddenly had to pay $6 or more for a gallon of gas, well that would happen if we lost one of our sources of oil.

BTW- I think we are in Iraq for more reasons than just oil. All of those reasons are nothing but good. But that's not what this question is about, so don't tell me if we are in Iraq for oil or not. Focus on the question at hand.

Before the war is over it's possible that more than a million people may have died. For oil.

If you can say, "What's wrong with that?"... the answer would have absolutely no effect on you. And that, more than anything else, is what I fear. That human life, like oil, will be diminished to the status of 'commodity'.

Loss of life may become "the price of doing business", literally. And more perverse yet, I can forsee the day when young men and women will gladly give up their lives for that reason.

And then what a souless world this will be.

You've got my vote for the positive. Great question!, and a sensible attitude re our presence in Iraq. My nephew's in the Army Special Forces and has been there for over a year; even with his extreme risk every day, he agrees we need to finish the job we began. Those here that can only criticize should be praying for these men who are PROUD to serve rather than choosing to poke fun of the president.

Say they did just PULL EVERYONE OUT AT ONE TIME like the libtards and Americans want so badly. If there's another 9/11 then WHO the H would they want to blame??? The president, who else. It's just a never ending crock from people. Our whole family was proud military and these people better not try to take that honor away because they're afraid to fight for their FREEDOM OR TO HELP OTHERS fight for theirs.

every president since FDR has said they will do whatever it takes to protect the nations interests in the middle east.... thats not coconuts.... the US is dependant on oil and the world is dependant on the US.

they cant be honest about it... if we said publically our goal is to make sure Iran, Syria, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and Venezuala dont take over Iraq how many more problems would that cause?

True liberals want us to pay $6 a gallon like in Europe. True libs want us to model our country after Europe. The Die Hard libs want to see us back on horse and buggy so they can scoop up all the horse crap that would fall on the road.
