OH my! That was good. Great bait there. I am trying recover from the best bellylaugh I've had in ages. Excellent.

Ok, let's see. Common jobs that appeal to Gay people.

I was going to say fudgepacker, but someone else beat me to it.

How about "Coach" or the "Honorable Congressman from _____".

I dunno, the possibilities are endless. Pile driver?

On the outside chance I'm wrong and this is a serious question and not just someone stirring up you-know-what, gay people are pretty much the same as everyone else. Doctors, technicians, airline pilots, ditch diggers, tv producers, rocket scientists or crane operators. It's really nobody's business and I don't care if they are gay, straight or run both ways. Good enough for me if they are employed, good at what they do and are worth what they are being paid. Beyond that, who cares?

Thanks again for the laugh.

Ok, I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but, contrary to popular belief that does not make me hate gay people and I would guess that this question is offensive to them as it encourages a stereotyping way of thinking, so my answer is there are none; no jobs that specifically appeal to a gay person simply because that person is gay (except maybe work in gay advocacy or with a publication or company that targets the "gay demographic." Otherwise, career choice, I would guess goes about the same as it does for anyone and is based on their individual interests, aptitude and talents and has very little to do with their sex life.

Advise your sister to study the subject of stereotyping.Individuals who are gay are found in all occupations. So called masculine professions such as professional football players, policemen, combat soldiers, have the same percentage of gays and straights relative to the general population. For the most part, though, they hide their sex preference/orientation rather than risk being thrown out of a job or worse, this is especially true in the military! Also there are just as many straight individuals who dance in the ballet and are hairdressers! There really are no gay or straight occupations.Except for the type of sexual activity, gays are for the most no different than straights. The limp wrist crowd is quite small!

Architect, firefighter, police officer, physician, psychologist, construction worker ... are you getting the hint? Trying to pick jobs that appeal to gay people is an act of bigotry. You cannot define "gay jobs" anymore than you can define jobs that appeal to hetero people. If you took any type of job ... hairdresser for instance, I' am willing to wager that you will find more straight people than you would gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. If it is estimated that 1 person in 10 is GLBT then it stands to reason they are likely always to be in the minority.

Somebody other than you needs to help you sister to make sure she does not grow up as bigoted as you are.

Are you aware that gay people come in all shapes sizes creed and color? If you know that then what would make jobs any different. You name it a gay person wants to be it and can succed too. It happens. I wouldn't help her write this paper if I was you.

I agree that there are no "homosexual" jobs. I would however be a tad careful with this paper. If the sociology professor is gay, they may be trying to find out what kind of stereotypes are seen.

I think Gay people could carry regular jobs like everyone else does. I used to work with few of them in two three different places.
