why would you want your teacher to feel bad for you, no offence but do you have any concept of how much stress they deal with daily. do you also know how many students are suffering incredible emotional, physical, mental suffering and that teachers know about those students and not only have the pressure of teaching lessons but also trying to cater for their students emotional needs. Teachers are in the profession because they care deeply about their students learning and well being. deliberatly making your teacher feel bad for you, so that you can feel more liked is selfish, if you only knew the stress she is already under. If you really do like this teacher then care about her as well instead of deliberately making her more stressed and drained then she already is. Respect her, listen to her and do your best that is all she wants, don't cause her more stress and definetly don't cause her pain when you have no idea just how many students she is trying desperatly to care for and help. she doesn't need another person to be feeling bad for, particuarly when you are doing ti deliberatly. How will you feel when she expends all her effort on you and burns out when you never needed her help anyway.

Do your homework, participate in class, and pay attention.
being a teacher for 8 years has taught me that respect is the key.
Why would you want your teacher to feel bad for you. Pity is not the answer for a successful school year.
Do your best and good luck.

Be respectful always to everyone, and ready to work. If you don't screw around when there is stuff to be done then the teacher will appreciate your work ethic.
If thats not enough- talk to them and be nice and actually learn about thier interests. People love to talk about themselves generally, and if you show and interest in their interests they're more likely to be impressed.

Impress---be prepared for class, volunteer to answer questions, talk to her/him after class about what you found interesting or what you don't understand, ask questions while in class, compliment her/him on some aspect of their teaching style....
