You get what you pay for, so bite the bullet and get good stuff...at least for your foundation and moisturizer.
Bare Essentials Mineral Veil (abt $25) is enough of a "foundation" if you have normal skin.
Rimmel has some nice powder blushes. Your blush color should be in the same color family as the natural color of your lips, maybe a shade deeper.
Maybelline Great Lash mascara can't be beat, even by the high priced stuff.
Get a lip pencil in a color close to your natural lip color - Revlon and L'Oreal make some good shades that last. Use it to line and color in your lips. Top with some lip gloss - Max Factor has some really slick stuff.
For fun eyeshadows and pencils, look at Wet n Wild, Jane and NYC.
Don't buy makeup brushes in the cosmetics dept. Go to a good hobby or art store and buy artist brushes. They are the best quality, as good or better than the high end makeup brushes, and less expensive than the high end makeup brushes, and if you get the cheap brushes in the makeup dept, the bristles fall out easily and they need to be replaced often.

Well I would say Mary Kay but it's very expensive. It's like $20 dollars for this little thing of eye shadow that is only about an inch long. But if you are into the cheaper stuff,i'd say like Barbitone or Glamour Chic!!They are like $10 for a whole case of that stuff. If you can't find either of those where ever you are going, they sell them at like any mall. But it's not in a store,it's in the little carts that are usually set in the halls!!!!!Good Luck finding your perfect makeup!!!

Brands you can buy in the drugstores or at places such as KMart and Target are good.
Almay
Max Factor
Revlon
L'Oreal
Neutrogena
All those brands have excellent products including foundation, blush, concealer, mascara, eye-shadow, highlighter, eye-liner, etc.

I would say Mary Kay is the best prices aren't as high as department store brands. Eye shadows are $6.50 each. You don't even have to leave home it can be shipped to you.
