Hello greetings for asking this question!!!

A bimanual exam is also a part of your annual pelvic examination. A female between 13-15 should have her annual pelvic examination. Before the examination, your nurse will take ur BP, weight, and pulse. She will also ask ur first day of peroid and whether you are having any problems relating to it, if so you should discuss with your doctor. Then she will ask you to completely undress. Some doctors will provide you with a gown and paper to be covered till the exam begins. A female nurse is a must at the exam if the doctor is a male. This provides security to both you and the doctor too. Once the exam begins you should lie on the table and place your legs in the stirrups keeping your knees apart and the doctor inserts a specculum in your vagina to hold the vaginal walls and he checks out for any abnormalities.

The term by bimanual means using both hands and in this process the doctor puts two fingers into your vagina and the other hand lies on the lower part of your abdomen. The doctor checks with his two fingers whether there are any abnormalities that could be found.

You can also discuss with the GYN any matters relating to pregnancy.

You feel comfortable if you clear your bladder before the exam.

Dont get scared about the exam after all its for your benefit only!!!

Be prepared mentally!!!

Bye

inner checks do not damage. you'll sense rigidity and a twinge of discomfort, yet not something undesirable. Your dr heavily isn't making use of any contraptions for them, basically his/her hand so no favor to rigidity. also, be prepared for some bleeding afterwards. that's conventional and very straightforward to have some recognizing after an inner exam.

Do you mean a bi-annual exam? Like for example: Maybe a Pap Smear, or a Mamogram?
A Pap Smear is not painful, but decidedly uncomfortable.
For a Mamogram... imagine an SUV running over your boobs... parking, then backing up .. and then parking again.
