yes. They were considered property. There's nothing in the constitution to "prevent" you from being accused of treason.

There was some opposition to the idea of a bill of rights but I think it passed once it was ratified by the states.

Enslaved Africans...yes, they were considered "domestic animals", and therefore personal property......this view was disputed immediately by some Northern states, but was put aside for purposes of harmony....(original sin of a new nation??)

Yes, the constitution provides one certain rights, even if one is accused of treason.......

I "believe" the only right guaranteed by the constitution is that of habeas corpus, out of that list.....

Why not research your own answers on the internet? I was a law enforcement grad, but didn't bother people in here with my homework questions. I did it myself...and still got an A.
