Yes,you are correct if you meant to say, Fear of lesbians and gay men, and formed your opinion against homosexual people. Unless you really mean you were scared to fight a gay person, like don't want to fight with them or something then I don't think that what it means.

No the definition is one of two, depending on who you ask.
Some define it as the hatred of homosexuals. That is what I believe. Others think that it is a trait of a person that has not come to terms with their own homosexuality.
To answer the question though, no.
"Gay bashers" usually fit into one of these two categories, but they are not afraid to beat up on a person. They are ignorant that way.
