CrCl3, FeCl3, CoCl2, CuCl2, ZnCl2

I think it may be Zn, but I'm not sure. Could someone tell me which, and why?

It is the ZnCl2. The metals in the other choices do not have their d sublevel full of electrons, which results in their brightly colored compounds.

ZnCl2 will be colorless. The other ions form colored solutions when mixed with water.
