No they don't. Mountain lions are quite capable of remaining active during the winter months. They actually have an advantage over some of their prey during this season, especially over things like deer which have small narrow feet which slow them down in snow. Mountain lions have a very warm coat and well insulated feet, so the cold is not really an issue.

No, they are too big to hibernate. Metabolically, they would die if their bodies got anywhere near the temp needed for true hibernation. Bears do not hibernate either- that all started with Yogi the Bear.
